Kirsten Konczal

A Lady Lake woman was jailed on $5,000 bond in the theft of a vacuum cleaner from Kohl’s.

Kirsten Konczal, 25, entered the store at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, selected a Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal vacuum cleaner and left the store without paying for it, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She loaded the $499 vacuum cleaner into a car which then left the parking lot. A store employee provided a description of the car and its license plate number.

The vehicle was spotted at about 9 p.m. and pulled over by a police officer. Konczal was in the vehicle.

In the meantime, another officer checked video surveillance from Kohl’s and made a positive identification of Konczal.

She was arrested on a charge of grand theft and booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $5,000.
