Pair of car burglaries in The Villages investigated by law enforcement

A pair of car burglaries last week in The Villages are being investigated by law enforcement.

A 75-year-old Villager had parked her 2017 Kia Soul at about 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Orange Blossom Hills Country Club. When she returned to the vehicle, she found that three $50 Shell gas cards and $15 in cash had been removed from the vehicle, according to a report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

In the second incident, a 67-year-old Villager had parked her 2010 Hyundai from 5:20 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Paradise Recreation Center. When she returned to her vehicle, she found $20 in cash and credit cards had been stolen.
