To the Editor:
In the article regarding lifts at 34 pools, the overall cost was expected to be $340,000 that is $34,000 per pool. The article also said the cost of the lift was $10,000 and annual maintenance was $500 per year. How much does the initial installation cost? Let’s say it costs an exorbitant amount of $5,000. We have 34,000 – $10,000 -$5,000 = $19,0000. Yearly maintenance $19,000 divide by $500 per year = 38 years of maintenance. Is this correct?
Don’t get me wrong I am all for the lifts at the pool, but there needs to be accountability in the cost being charged to the residents.
