Lady Lake woman jailed on abuse charges after allegedly hitting children with belt

Erin Nicole Pierce

A Lady Lake woman was arrested on abuse charges after allegedly hitting children with a belt at her home.

Erin Nicole Pierce, 29, is facing multiple charges of child abuse following her arrest early Sunday morning at her home at 37409 Genius Court.

Pierce had multiple children at her home when one of them gave her the middle finger, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. She told deputies that she “popped” the child with her daughter’s belt.

Pierce, who had been drinking, also hit other children with the belt, as well as with a metal spoon and shoes. Pierce’s boyfriend tried to persuade her to stop hitting the children, but she did not listen to him, the arrest report indicated.

The children’s parents detailed for deputies what allegedly happened to their children.

Pierce was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $15,000 bond.
