Driver suffering medical issue crashes on Buena Vista Boulevard

A man who suffered a medical episode crashed into a tree Tuesday afternoon in The Villages.

The man had been heading north at 3:21 p.m. on Buena Vista Boulevard just south of Stillwater Trail when he experienced the medical episode, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. His car veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

He was transported by ambulance to Ocala Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
