Driver suffering medical episode crashes into yard in Village of Fernandina

An SUV wound up in the middle of some landscaping after the driver suffered an apparent medical episode Thursday morning in The Villages.

A driver suffered a medical episode before crashing in the Village of Fernandina.

The accident occurred at 11:46 a.m. in the 2900 block of Bonifay Path in the Village of Fernandina, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver was transported by ambulance to Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

The driver of this SUV crashed into a yard in the Village of Fernandina.

The Villages Public Safety Department also responded to the scene.
