Veterans Florida, a nonprofit corporation created by the state of Florida that provides veterans career and entrepreneurship resources, recently announced with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office that they have partnered to fill open deputy sheriff positions. The collaboration aligns the strengths of both organizations to benefit highly trained veterans seeking employment in the workforce.
“The Veterans Florida staff has gone above and beyond at every step of our partnership and made working with them an easy decision. With skills such as professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work in stressful environments, veterans are a valuable asset to any organization,” said Sheriff Mike Prendergast. “The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office looks forward to continuing our relationship with Veterans Florida and enhancing our workforce with veterans and their unique skill sets,” he continued.
