One need not dwell on these stickers

To the Editor:

I have no sticker on my mailbox but I can understand why some people do.
Some people have memory lapses and others, as you said, may just want to zero in on their own mailboxes. Also, judging by a few stickers shown in your article, many others may just want to inject a little cheer or pride into their day as they pick up the mail.
These stickers do not decrease the value of our homes and most cannot be seen from the street. One need not dwell on these stickers for any longer than it takes to pick up one’s mail; they don’t get in anyone else’s way. For these reasons, I would vote to allow others the freedom to apply a sticker to their own mailbox for whatever pleasure or ease it gives to them.
