A Village of Bonnybrook woman was arrested when methamphetamine was found hidden in her bra.
Melissa Berg, 40, of 2112 Callaway Drive, had been in a white Ford F-150 at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Best Buy at Village Crossroads when a loss prevention officer reported suspicious activity in the vehicle, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
As an officer approached the vehicle, bearing a Pennsylvania license plate, the F-150 drove away. During a subsequent traffic stop, Callaway admitted her Florida driver’s license had recently expired.
A K-9 unit arrived on the scene and the dog alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of narcotics. A cellophane wrapper tucked in Berg’s bra contained a substance determined to be methamphetamine.
She was arrested on charges of driving on an expired license and possession of methamphetamine. She was booked at the Lake County Jail on $3,000 bond.
