ABC of Dementia workshop to be offered at Lady Lake Public Library

The AMAC Foundation will present a free workshop entitled the ABC of Dementia at the Lady Lake Public Library from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Feb. 21.  The library is located at 225 W. Guava Street in Lady Lake.

Conducted by Debbie Selsavage, president of Coping with Dementia LLC, the workshop is aimed at caregivers for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. It will explain how dementia affects an individual, how to interpret so-called “dementia behaviors” for better communication, and how to become a less-stressed and more effective caregiver.

While the workshop is free, those wishing to attend are encouraged to register in advance for planning purposes. To register or for more information, call (352) 422-3663 or e-mail deb@coping.today. Or call the AMAC Foundation at (888) 750-2622.
