Landscaper on lawn mower struck by vehicle near gate at Morse Boulevard

A landscaper on a lawn mower suffered serious injuries after being struck Wednesday afternoon near the gate at Morse Boulevard and County Road 466.

The accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. when the lawn mower was crossing the road and was struck by the vehicle, according to preliminary information from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

This vehicle was involved in an accident with a lawn mower near the Morse Gate off County Road 464.

The investigation of the accident has been turned over to the Florida Highway Patrol.

In 2015, a landscaper was hit by a vehicle near the same location.
