Health care in The Villages

To the Editor:

My husband got up and felt dizzy so we went to urgent care. They said it was blood pressure so increased medication, but to see primary doctor next day.  He did and she said the same thing to take medication, call back in a few days give a report. He did and talked to a nurse. He told her he had this terrible sore spot in his side and his stomach hurt.
He was told to keep track of blood pressure and call in a report later. If he had more problems go to urgent care. This went on for almost two weeks. Sunday we went to urgent care because he couldn’t stand it any longer they said he was a very sick man and needed surgery. Went to Ocala Regional Medical Center and was operated on Sunday afternoon for gall bladder. Waiting for the nurse or doctor here, he would probably dead. Not to happy with this medical system.
