The Project Wide Advisory Committee will host a question-and-answer session at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at the Rohan Regional Recreation Center. This will be an opportunity for residents to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of the committee and to ask questions of the Community Development District supervisors who serve on PWAC.
There are plenty of PWAC issues that have generated headlines:
• PWAC is considering spending $340,000 to install aquatic chairlifts at 34 swimming pools south of County Road 466.
• The Morse Boulevard Bridge embankment project remains in limbo.
• A resident’s request to construct a fence around a common area to keep dogs out of sight prompted discussions about the quality of dog parks in The Villages.
• PWAC has oversight of how amenity money is spent south of County Road 466.
PWAC includes representatives from Community Development Districts 5 through 11.
