Mary Jane Sandwisch

Mary Jane Happel-Meadows Sandwisch (nee Klement) age 69, of Oak Harbor, OH and The Villages, FL, passed away on February 28, 2019.

MJ was born on May 27, 1949 in Detroit, MI. She was a Medical Assistant for Dr. Carl P. Kelly for over 20 years and later worked at Port Clinton Senior Center. She loved the water, whether the ocean or a lake, listening to the crashing waves, the call of the seagulls or feeling the warmth of the sunshine on her face. She also enjoyed having family gatherings, playing cards and crafting. MJ was known for her quick wit and funny personality.

She is survived by her devoted husband Dennis “Sam” Sandwisch of The Villages, FL; son, Michael David (Heather) of Mantua, OH; daughter Stacy Lee (James) of Bedford, OH; grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Shauni, Kailey, Taylor-Paige, Shannon and David and great granddaughter, Shaylei Nicole. Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley Klement and Lena (nee DeNunzio) of Detroit, MI; sisters Barbara Happel of Rochester Hills, MI and Evelyn Wilson of Oak Harbor, OH.
