Claude Clarence Hutson, Jr. of Lady Lake, FL passed in peace
at the age of 90 on March 4, 2019 at The Villages Hospice House. He is survived
by his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy Camus Hutson, of Lady Lake; sons,
Craig Hutson (Linda) of Lady Lake, and Gary Hutson (Joveann) of Orange City,
Florida. He is survived by a granddaughter, Melissa Hutson (Cory) of Fruitland
Park, Florida.
Claude was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL. He received a football
scholarship to Furman University. He went to work at BellSouth and then
enlisted in the Marines in 1952. After spending two years in the Marines, he
returned to work with BellSouth retiring as a District Manager. During his
retirement, he enjoyed going to his son’s automotive shop and talking with the
customers. Claude was a devoted, loving husband and dedicated family man. He
will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 9 at 9:00 am with funeral services
immediately following at 10:00 am at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 North Hwy 27/441,
Lady Lake. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Leesburg. In lieu of flowers,
donations in Claude’s memory may be made to: The Villages Hospice House, 601
Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
