U-turn leads to three-vehicle crash at U.S. 301 and County Road 466

A U-turn led to a three-vehicle crash Tuesday night at the intersection of U.S. 301 and County Road 466.

Mejreme Zekirovska, 27, who lives in The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake, had been at the wheel of a silver two-door 2017 Honda Civic at 7:57 p.m. heading south on U.S. 301 attempting to make a U-turn when her vehicle collided with a blue 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 19-year-old Joshua David Williamson of Wildwood, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Williamson had been northbound on U.S. 301 when his truck struck Zekirovska’s car, which had turned into his path. The force of that collision pushed the truck into the path of a red 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 37-year-old Kimberly Marie Guffie, of Belleview. She had been making a right turn from County Road 466 onto U.S. 301.

There were no serious injuries.

Zekirovska was ticketed for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
