Staged reading of comedic play tackling divorce coming to Temple Shalom

Three strikes and you’re out – especially when it comes to divorce.

Left: Dan Pona will appear in the reading of the comedic play ‘Remember the Alimony’ at Temple Shalom on March 30-31. Right: Janet Maloney plays one of three ex-wives in the production.

That’s the plot of a new comedy called “Remember the Alimony” by playwright Stephen Young. A Florida premier of a staged reading will be held March 30 at 7 p.m. and March 31 at 3 p.m. at Temple Shalom, 13563 County Rd. 101, in Oxford.

It’s the story of an aging guy with three former ex-wives. The cast features Villagers Janet Maloney, Barb Pearson, Alexandra Rae and Dan Pona. The reading is directed by Villager Steve Rubin.

Author Stephen Young will meet with the audience after each show. For information, call (352) 748-1800 or go to www.tscfl.org.
