Play about old-timers enjoying the National Pastime coming to Wildwood

Springtime in Florida brings a common sight at baseball training sites throughout the state – old-timers watching the game.

James Waelti and Hank Harstein play a couple of veteran baseball fans in ‘National Pastime.’

That’s the theme of “Bottom of the Ninth,” a one-act play by Victor L. Cahn. It will be presented Friday, March, and Saturday, March 23, at 7 p.m. in the Wildwood Community Center, 6500 Powell Rd. Tickets are $10 and part of the proceeds will benefit Villagers For Veterans. For information, call (352) 205-1880.
