Trump’s Tweet rants are a warning of his mental stability

To the Editor:

Trump often tweets wacky lies and conspiracy theories, but last weekend’s avalanche of petty grievances and self pity has to raise questions in the mind of any thinking person about his  fraying psyche. Trump tweeted 50 times over the weekend, 20 times on Saturday, and 30 times on Sunday. Even conservatives are taking note of Trump’s worsening mental condition.
Bill Kristol tweeted, “Averting your eyes is refusing to come to grips with Trump’s mental condition and psychological state. It’s avoiding reality,” and George Conway, husband of Kellyanne, simply noted “His condition is getting worse.” Trump retweeted: a Pizzagate conspiracy theorist, a Q-anon conspiracy theorist, and a conspiracy theorist who believes the New Zealand massacre was a plot to limit gun rights.  Sunday’s 30 tweet rant by Trump  rose to the level of newsworthy because of what he didn’t say -addressing the problem of rising white nationalism with regard to New Zealand’s horrific massacre, but instead whining that his feelings were hurt by Saturday Night Live. Then Monday, he was off to the races again with tweets including attacks on the late John McCain, Shep Smith and other Fox hosts he doesn’t like; called on the network to defend Tucker Carlson and Jeanine Pirro, two hosts he does like; engaged in some anti-immigrant fear-mongering, and, of course, raged against the Mueller probe.
