The holiday season is over but the porch pirates are still at work.
A Summerfield man called the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday to report a package being stolen off the front porch of his home on SE 91st Court.
The victim said the package, which contained a Black HLG 260V2 LED light board valued at $329.99, was delivered by UPS at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday and was not there when he went to retrieve it around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. He said he only needed to make a report to the sheriff’s office so his credit card company would issue a refund, a sheriff’s office report states, adding that the incident still is under investigation.
