Ideas for holding down amenity fees

To the Editor:

Help us save our residents having increases in our fees!
A few thoughts:
Less changing of flowers – use something that lasts year round.
Since we do not live in a guarded community, do away with the expense of people at some entry gates. Gates are not needed since they get knocked down and it takes $$$$ to put them back up. Just put in speed bumps at the entry points!
How about all the people that rent here in The Villages? They use everything for free just like a resident. Charge them a fee for usage. Charging a fee for our guests, like children and grandchildren, is not the way since we end paying for it. If you get a guest pass for family, free. For friends, pay a fee.
Many forget we have residents that are on a limited, fixed income and cannot afford fees going up. It is time for taking care of our residents by not lining the pockets of others.
