The Progressive ideology posits that any system, law, regulation or custom be capriciously removed and replaced based solely on their utopian view of the world, and of course, within their exclusive control. Unfortunately, each and every one of their absurd moves pushes us over the edge creating a bigger problem than the one they sought to remedy.
Our Republic has survived and thrived because the Founders anticipated the potential threats of tyranny, designing brilliant architecture which has provided an orderly transfer of power. A constitutional design which ensures and maintains the equal representation of both majority and minority views. And owing to their amazing prescience, this Republic rose to become a superpower within a little more than a century of its birth, and today still dominates both economically and militarily.
The election results of 2016 interfered with Progressives re-imaging of America, which they condemn as being irredeemably corrupt and with their claims of victim-hood causation. Their “sore loser” theme permeates in every political discussion and election in this land. To counter their losses, they have incorporated a devious multi-facet approach for regaining power. Their first effort failed to remove and obstruct this president, based on evidence they submitted, and which included all the false narratives that followed. Progressives also fail, because they underestimate this president’s energy and political will to fight back.
To the nation’s detriment progressives maintain a factious and unhealthy obsession with this president, primarily as a deflection, while their sans culottes (radical) pundits continue to stir and steer their base to keep them engaged in frivolity and triviality, while real political concerns are ignored. Predictably there is no limitation as to how far progressives are willing to go to regain their power to govern. The sad reality is that it doesn’t matter which of their candidates succeeds in capturing the presidential nomination because all have no choice but to prostrate themselves on the altar of the progressives’ absurd platform, which is absent substance and what remains is a policy of destruction, hysteria, paranoia, hate and revenge. It is not an exaggeration to say if the progressives succeed in 2020 the progressive agenda will make Mao’s China Cultural Revolution look tame. We have already experienced their call-out cultural tactic with their demands of self-incrimination and apologies. And their claims of victimhood and white privilege, demanding equal outcome and citing disparate impact as priori proof of discrimination.
We know that progressives favor open borders as illegals pour into the country and are handed voting kits and directions to the nearest polling location. And we are familiar with the types of voter fraud as progressives continue to respond in unison, “that voter fraud does not exist”. We also know that progressives are taught to feint indignation at the thought of enforcing voter ID laws claiming such laws discriminate. Yet these same denied voters readily produce a picture identification for everything else they need for life admin.
The Progressive’s strategy focuses on fundamental and caustic changes to the Constitution and Washington institutions. Progressive unite in jettisoning the Electoral College, expanding the Supreme Court, granting statehood to Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico and allowing 16-year-old children to vote, all of which opens the way for the policy proposals at the heart of their not so hidden agenda.
Progressives to ensure election results include gerrymandering and ballot harvesting, both to my chagrin sampled by a few Republicans too. Ballot harvesting allows anyone, even a paid political campaign worker to complete ballot forms collect them and carry them to polling stations. The potential for fraud is only limited by one’s imagination. Gerrymandering, is the manipulation of boundaries to advantage a candidate or party either by dilution or consolidating voting districts. Gerrymandering is under review by the Supreme Court and it must be rejected, as previous courts decisions have proven to be corrosive to democracy and judiciary independence.
Progressives endorse “The People Act of 2019” (H.R.1), which in essence federalizes and micromanages the election process administered by the states, imposing unconstitutional mandates on states. It interferes with the ability of the states and their citizens to determine qualifications for voters and the accuracy of voter registration rolls. H.R. 1 reverses the decentralization of the election process necessary for protecting state rights liberty and freedom.
The word democracy is not found in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution because the framers chose a Republic as our form of government.
Ostensibly then, the Senate and Electoral College are both institutions which check the tyranny of the majority. The Electoral College gives each state electors equal to its representation in Congress and is decisive in presidential elections, as enshrined in the Constitution. The Founders made it clear that states, like people have rights. The people have representation in the House of Representatives and the states have representation in the Senate. The Electoral College reflects this collective and proportioned voice of the legislative branch that then has sway in electing the executive branch of government.
As progressive attempt to eliminate the Electoral College they undermine its purpose with their National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC). NPVIC is an agreement to award all electors votes to the candidate who wins the popular vote in their state. Those entering interstate compacts will give their elect vote to a candidate even though the candidate was not a state majority in their respective state. This is simply an urban power grab and an end run around constitutional amendment process. Its in conflict with Article II section 1 Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution, the 14th Amendment and the Voting Right Act of 1965.
The progressive agenda is indeed a paradox, where many are excluded, because, progressives claim they are an inclusive organization. It is telling that they openly strike back at “angry white men and alleged spouse-obedient women.”
So ingrained is their hatred for traditional American they continue as did Mao, to demand, to violate, to destroy, to re-write historic representations, be it a name, a memorial, a statute or recorded history. This is illegal and irrational thinking never taking into account that for 250 years America has stood as that a beacon of hope, justice and freedom for so many who risk so much to defend our way of life. The continuing saga of human civilization is replete with stories of injustice and horrors. This nation stands alone in righting its wrongs and in eliminating potential for their regression. Progressives want to weaken this nation by transforming it into their utopian version of socialism, a design which is absent a moral imperative and any semblance of accountability and always leads to totalitarianism and failure. The Founders considered both democracy and a Republic as our form of government. They choose the latter because they understood the frailty of democracy and its vulnerability to tyranny. Progressives seek to reverse it and to leave us exposed.
