Community Development District 3 supervisors gave their backing Friday to a plan to add a street light on Cazaras Avenue.
District Property Management had received a request for additional lighting on Cazaras Avenue in the area between the intersections with El Camino Real and Doria Lane.
Blair Bean, assistant district of field operations for District Property Management, said following the request he conducted a thorough study along the roadway and determined a definite need for additional lighting next to the multi-modal path where it connects with Cazaras Avenue, just a few feet from a busy entry gate.
The new street light will be installed at the south corner of the multi-modal path crossing on the west side of the roadway. Bean said it will be designed to increase lighting levels at the resident entry gate and the multi-modal crossing area.
Bean added that the new street light won’t create any additional nuisance lighting to the existing residences. And he said he didn’t yet have a cost estimate for installation of the new light, as he is waiting for an estimate from Duke Energy.
