PWAC and AAC to hold second meeting on removal of cap on amenity fees

The Project Wide Advisory Committee and the Amenity Authority Committee will have a second joint meeting on the removal of the cap on amenity fees paid by residents.

The meeting is set for 9 a.m. Monday, April 15 at Laurel Manor Recreation Center. It is open to the public.

The first joint meeting was held in March.

PWAC members subsequently met on April 8 and came to a consensus that it was time to get rid of the deferral rate that held monthly amenity rates to a maximum of $155 per month.

AAC members this past week split 3-2 on the same issue. In that meeting, AAC members Ann Forrester and Don Deakin voted against the removal of the cap, indicating that the AAC is in a better financial position than the PWAC. Forrester and Deakin said the AAC had no need to rush into a decision and could take more time to evaluate their financial future.
