Wesley Kriedemann

Wesley Lynn Kriedemann was born on February 19. 1941 in Rochester, NY to the late Nellie and Edwin Kriedemann. Wesley passed away peacefully from natural causes on April 16, 2019 while in the Villages Rehab and Nursing Facility of Lady Lake., Florida.

Survivors are his daughter, Brenda Gigante, son-in-law, Paul Gigante, grandchildren, Bella and Nick Gigante, brother, Carl Kriedemann, and the love of his life, Vonnie Wester. Wesley grew up in Ithaca, New York, graduated Ithaca high School in 1959, attended Lutheran College and State University of New York at Binghamton earning a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Teaching and Master of Arts in Biology. He spent 30 years plus working in the medical field doing research, developing new surgical procedures, publishing in medical journals and retiring in 2002 as a hospital administrator.

Wes joined the US Army in 1962 and received an honorable discharge in 1965. Wes’s hobbies and interests included wrestling both in high school and on the US Army wrestling team. He played on adult softball teams in NY and in Florida, enjoyed shooting pool, spending hours at the gym working hard on being physically fit and going to the Village Square listening to the oldies.

Wes will be remembered as a gentleman, an intelligent man, a kind man to everyone who knew him, quiet and shy sometimes, but with a great sense of humor and a generous heart. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private celebration of life will be held with family and close friends.
