Rachel Martin

Rachel A. (Lucas) Martin of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Feasterville and Philadelphia, PA passed away at the age of 78 on Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Verlyn and Mary Lucas. Rachel is survived by her husband, Robert Martin, of 54 years, who was the love of her life. Rachel was the world to Robert and her children. She was the loving mother to daughter Barbara (Martin) Flor and her husband Tony (Fort Myers, FL), and son Robert Martin and his wife Heather (Warminster, PA), and was an incredibly proud grandmother to Ashley, Lindsey, and Gary. There was nothing Rachel loved more than spending time with her children and grandchildren and she was always happy to teach them how to play Farkle, Phase 10, Domino Train, and all kinds of card games.

Rachel worked hard her entire life, instilling a stellar work ethic in her children and grandchildren. She retired in 2001 from Abar-Ipson Industries, where she was an executive secretary for 25 years. In addition to being a loving, devoted wife and mother, she was a dear and loyal friend to many. Before moving to The Villages, FL, she spent many years at her vacation home, which she and her husband built on Lake Florence, in Hawley, PA. She enjoyed playing golf and bocce with her husband and friends, and taking numerous cruises with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Allen Lucas, Paul Lucas, and James Lucas and is survived by her brother Edward Lucas (Carol) and her sister Marilyn Lucas Kendust, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends
