POA isn’t representing property owners

To the Editor:

I agree with the points made by Opinion writer Dennis Petrucelli about the POA not really pushing for answers.
I don’t believe the POA is prepared to take on the Developer or other entities that harm our Villages way of living.  Two years ago I wrote to the POA asking some hypothetical questions in what they would do in the event the Developer closed down some essential amenities such as local country clubs, our bridge over 441/27, etc.  Well a couple clubs have been closed, Silver Lake, others and now Hacienda.  What are you doing about it POA?
You want us all to pay your dues, but do you have a legal fund able to stand up to these close downs of pools (six months for repairs), clubs, the bridge to Lake Sumter when the time comes, etc. etc.   Maybe the POA needs to change to rep and protect the Villagers.
