Longtime Villager nails first-ever hole-in-one on Ocala golf course

A Villager who’s been playing golf for 15 years just checked a huge item off her bucket list.

Linda Meyer was all smiles after scoring her first hole-in-one on Friday, May 10 on the 16th hole at Baseline Golf Course in Ocala.

Linda Meyer, who lives in the Village of Calumet Grove, scored her first-ever hole-in-one. The feat – Meyers called it the “best feeling ever!” – came Friday, May 10 on the 16th hole at Baseline Golf Course in Ocala. Meyer used a 5-hybrid club and a Srixon ball on the 122-yard hole.

“I’ve been close numerous times but it finally happened,” Meyer said. “I wanted to get one on The Villages courses but I’ll take it.”

Meyer has lived in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown for seven years and says she “loves” being a Villager.
