Suspected Bealls thief nabbed after tucking stolen merchandise into baby stroller

Jennifer Noble

A suspected Bealls thief was nabbed after allegedly tucking stolen merchandise into a baby stroller.

Jennifer Lee Noble, 35, of Belleview, entered the store on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake on Sunday morning and put a pair of Union Bay sunglasses and a “Life is Good” T-shirt into the stroller, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A man who was with Noble took the child out of the stroller and she pushed it out of the store with the merchandise.

When a loss prevention officer attempted to stop Noble, she began “screaming and resisting.” The man who was with Noble intervened and Noble was able to flee on foot. She left the stroller and a diaper bag behind.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies located Noble and brought her back to the store. She was arrested on charges of theft and resisting recovery of property. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $6,000 bond.
