American Legion Auxiliary 347 pays tribute to first responders with baked goodies

Members of American Legion Auxiliary 347 paid a special visit to police officers and firefighters recently.

Members of American Legion Auxiliary 347 visited the Lady Lake Police Department and Lake County Fire Rescue Station 52 recently to deliver baked goods. Their visits came during First Responders Appreciation Week.

In honor of First Responders Appreciation Week, the group delivered six trays of baked goods to the Lady Lake Police Department – enough so that all the shifts would be able to enjoy the tasty treats.

Then the members visited Lake County Fire Station 52 and delivered two trays of goodies to the 12 firefighters stationed in the facility at 306 W Hermosa St.

“We wanted to show our appreciation for everything they do on a daily basis to keep our community safe,” said Lois Glosch, public relations chairman for the auxiliary.
