Villager sentenced in attack on another man in Village of Tierra Del Sol South

A Villager was sentenced last week in an attack on another man in December in the Village of Tierra Del Sol South.

Robert William Wyatt, 55, was arrested Dec. 9 at his home at 1807 San Luis Lane after a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy saw Wyatt punch another man. Wyatt was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on a charge of battery.

This past week in Sumter County Court, Wyatt entered a plea of no contest in the case.

The Illinois native was placed on probation for one year and ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.
