Frank Connell

Frank James Connell, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home in The Villages, FL with family by his side on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Frank was born September 22, 1944 in Blue Island, IL to Frank and Emilie (Dostalek) Connell. He graduated from Carl Sandberg High School and continued on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Frank was married to Regina Katherine (Seus) on February 25, 1967; together they had two children and were married 52 years.

Frank worked as an engineer in various positions for Commonwealth Edison for over 29 years. In retirement he became passionate about genealogy, spending time researching and connecting with relatives. He also enjoyed automobiles, computers, landscaping and bowling.

Frank is survived by his wife Regina; his daughter, Madeline M. Carpenter and her husband, John; his grandchild Martha; his sister-in-law Madeline Seus; and his nieces and nephews.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Robert F. Connell and John M. Connell; as well as his son, James F. Connell.

Prayer service and interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
