The Asian American Club will host an Orlando doctor and provide massage therapy for select group members at its upcoming meeting.
The club, which will meet Thursday, June 27 at 5 p.m. at La Hacienda Recreation Center, will hear from Dr. Josephine Chen, who will discuss various Asian alternative health options, including acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medicine, therapeutic massage, dietary therapy, Tai Chi and Qigong.
Club member Lily Brown will provide five-minute therapy massage sessions on select members chosen by lottery during the presentation. And she’ll answer questions about the areas in which she is licensed or certified, including detox, discharging acids and toxins, unblocking meridians, neuropathy, facial rejuvenation, weight loss, body pH balance and pain management.
The cost for the program is $8 for members in good standing with reservations and $12 for members without reservations. The cost for non-members and guests with reservations also will be $12 and $15 with no reservations.
