A Monday morning mishap messed up traffic on the Morse Boulevard bridge.

A Ford Focus had been towing a golf cart over the Morse Boulevard bridge at about 8:30 a.m. Monday when the tow dolly broke loose and the golf cart landed on the multi-modal path, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

No other vehicles were involved. There were no injuries.

Community Watch was stationed on the bridge, directing traffic around the damaged golf cart, which was blocking one of the lanes of traffic on the multi-modal path.

The golf cart was towed from the scene and traffic on the bridge returned to normal.
