A suspect has been arrested in the theft of special edition Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Last week, the Wildwood Police Department issued a bulletin in the search for the Harley-Davidson Sportster Bicentennial edition motorcycle with a 1776-1976 emblem on the gas tank.
Acting on a tip, Wildwood police went Sunday morning to a mobile home park where 44-year-old Michael Hagan was staying. A motorcycle was spotted at the residence and it was obvious that there had been an attempt to gouge the serial number and a crude spray painting job had been attempted. Lights and turn signals from the motorcycle were found in a garbage can.
Hagan was arrested on felony charges of burglary and theft. He was also found to be wanted on a Marion County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.
Hagan was booked without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
