Donna Tighe

Donna G. Tighe, 58, of Oxford, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at The Villages Regional Hospital.

Donna was a career kindergarten teacher for over 30 years. Teaching young children was a joy and true calling for Donna, and she left a lasting impact on hundreds of kids and their families. Unfortunately, Donna’s career was cut short in 2012 when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a true loss to her profession.

Survivors include her loving husband of 15 years Kevin Tighe; her two sons Thomas and Joshua Cappadona; step-daughter Brigette Tighe; step-sons Kevin Tighe, Jr. and Joseph Tighe; daughter-in-laws Tiffany Mancini, and Kailey Robinson; her six grandchildren who meant the world to her, Aidan Tighe, Hannah Cappadona, Abigail Tighe, Carly Cappadona, Ava Tighe, and Kiley Cappadona; her sister Linda Geary; and her brothers Robert and Richie Horn.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father Diana and Raymond Walter Horn; her sister Joanne Viglione, and her brother Raymond Horn.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 2-5 pm and on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 2-5 pm with a prayer service at 4 pm, located at Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, Florida. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 10 am, located at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4323 E Co Rd 462, Wildwood, Florida. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests you make donations in her memory to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
