Christopher Munday

A Villager’s son is in hot water for the second time this month, this time in the theft of an $11,000 ring.

Christopher Munday, 47, who lives with his mother at 1805 Kane Place in the Village of St. Charles, was arrested Thursday on a charge of grand theft.

Munday is charged with stealing a woman’s custom-made 14K gold and diamond ring in March and selling it to a jeweler in Winter Park, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

He was booked on $2,000 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.

Munday was arrested earlier this month on separate charges of fraud and theft.

He had been free on $2,500 bond at the time of this week’s arrest.
