A handyman with a criminal history was arrested on the Historic Side of The Villages.
Lady Lake police were called at about 11 a.m. Sunday to East Schwartz Boulevard where 48-year-old David Carl Hall was backing up in a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup. Hall had been doing work at a home in the 1700 block of East Schwartz Boulevard.
Hall has had a number of run-ins with the law, including a dispute over a leaky roof earlier this year, a bond forfeiture last year and charges of unlicensed contracting in 2017 after Hurricane Irma.
When police arrived on the scene Sunday, it was determined that Hall was driving on a suspended license and has four previous convictions for driving while license suspended.
He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
