Two people were arrested in the theft of merchandise at Target at Rolling Acres Plaza in The Villages.

Victoria Susan West, 38, and Tyler Jordan McAfee, 26, both of Silver Springs, entered the store Tuesday afternoon and selected a 40-inch television from a display, three Blu-Ray DVDs, a portable fan and flashlight and put them into a shopping cart, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. They removed the anti-theft devices from the items.

They were apprehended when they attempted to leave the store.

A check of video surveillance footage from Saturday showed the pair in the store when they stole a Google Nest Hello Video Doorbell, the report said.

West and McAfee were arrested on charges of theft and removal of an anti-theft or inventory control device. Both were booked at the Lake County Jail. West’s bond was set at $13,500. McAfee’s bond was set at $17,000.
