A woman was ejected from a golf cart in an accident Thursday morning in the roundabout at Morse Boulevard and El Camino Real.
The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. when the southbound golf cart crossed over El Camino Real and struck a small post in the golf cart lane, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman, who was a passenger in the golf cart, was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center for precautionary reasons.
The female driver of the golf cart was ticketed on a charge of careless driving.
Last year, a Village of Sabal Chase woman was injured in a crash at that same roundabout.
In 2014, Villager Larry Grimes called for change at the Morse roundabout after he was seriously injured when his golf cart was involved in an accident. He suffered a concussion and three fractured ribs.
