Man wanted on Pennsylvania warrant arrested on moped near Water Oak

A man wanted on a Pennsylvania warrant will have to answer in court later this month after he was arrested on a moped near Water Oak in Lady Lake.

Lee Norman Faust, 40, is scheduled to appear July 30 in Lake County Court.

He had been riding the 2013 Peace Sport 49cc moped at about 9 a.m. July 10 on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Water Oak Boulevard when a police officer ran the moped’s license plate, which had expired May 14, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The check further showed that Faust did not have a Florida driver’s license and was wanted on a non-extraditable warrant out of Pennsylvania.

Faust was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a license and operation of an unregistered motor vehicle.

The moped was towed from the scene by Kling Towing.
