Repeated roundabout flooding becomes a concern in The Villages

Sumter County and The Villages District are working to address repeated flooding at a roundabout in The Villages.

Sumter County and The Villages District are coordinating efforts to address repeated flooding at a roundabout in The Villages.

The roundabout at Buena Vista Boulevard and Stillwater Trail flooded after heavy rain Wednesday afternoon. Cones and barricades were set up to guide automobile traffic around the flooded sections of the roundabout.

Sumter County Administrator Bradley Arnold said the two governmental entities are looking to address the “root cause” of the problem.
