To the Editor:
While always easy to bash the Developer, sometimes maybe warranted, most not. But, in this case, that location was one of the early signs of providing a good quality facility for golf, food, and fraternity. A model for the future on how things would go. The food there had not been good for a very long time. That only takes a good restaurant business owner to remedy. The golf course is nice, well kept up. A great day of golf, social, dinner is the goal. In this case, The Developer needs to be met with. They must be all in to help locate a new operator. They must be made to understand that this is a strong case for the family to get this right.
It is a fact that the rents for all Villages commercial properties is sky high, with strings. It is time, with all the new income on new homes south, for The Developer to get off the high horse, lower the rent/lease cost, do the appropriate renovations, and secure a proper operator. Talk about great public relations.
They should not forget that many, many people living near Hacienda are some of the originals. Folks who supported the dream from the beginning. They, and all others of us, should be rewarded for our staying and enjoying “The Lifestyle”.
