Speeding Villager arrested after marijuana found in her makeup bag

A speeding Villager was arrested after marijuana was found in her makeup bag during a traffic stop.

Debbie Lynn Flowers, 52, who lives at 1401 E. Schwartz Blvd., was driving a black 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor at 9:32 a.m. Saturday when she was caught traveling 53 miles per hour in 35 mph zone on County Road 462, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. When a deputy approached the vehicle, the odor or marijuana was detected.

Marijuana and a pipe were found in a gold SOHO makeup bag. She was also found to be in possession of a clear vape cartridge containing THC Oil.

She was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $4,000 bond. She was issued a warning for speeding.
