Three seats will be up for grabs in upcoming Lady Lake Commission election

Three seats occupied by a trio of long-time incumbents will be up for grabs in the upcoming Lady Lake Commission election.

Seats will be up in Ward 1, Ward 3 and Ward 5. The Ward 1 seat is held by Village of La Reynalda resident Ruth Kussard, the Ward 3 seat is held by Dan Vincent of Water Oak, and Mayor Jim Richards of the Village of Country Club Hills holds the Ward 5 seat.

It was announced at Monday night’s Lady Lake Commission meeting that the qualifying period for candidates will be from noon Monday, Aug. 26 through noon Friday, Aug. 30.

All three commissioners indicated they will be running for re-election.
