Melba Jean Odom Lutton

Melba Jean Odom Lutton, 80, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019. She was born March 13, 1939 to John Henry and Dora Mae Strickland. She was a life long member of the Tuscanooga Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and cherished her family and Church family. She loved to fish, not only did she love to catch them, she loved to eat them too! She loved to tell the grandkids that she loved them, but loved God the mostest! We all love you very much, Mimi, and this is not goodbye, it is see you later.

Melba is survived by her current husband, Lewis Lutton; sons, John Ed (Mary) Odom, Jr.; Kenneth (Pam); daughter, Jeanne (Kenny); stepchildren; Paul and Cindy; grandchildren: Rachel (Gelin), Leah(TJ); Christy (Zach); Cindy (Cody); Laura (Chris) and Keith; step grandchildren; Ginny Kay (Alex), Garrett (Jordan) and Travis. Also two great grandbabies, Jameson and Caroline. Brothers, Pete (Wyona); John H., Jack (Janice); sister, Linda (Johnny); Brothers in law, RJ, Jeff (Carolyn); sisters in law, Callie, Lucille. Abundance of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Marvin and Jerry; sisters Marguerite, Doris, Alice, sister in law Louise; brothers in law, Doyle, Junior, also her first husband of 48 years John Edward Odom, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at the Tuscanooga Baptist Church. Funeral service is Monday, August 26 at 11am at Tuscanooga Baptist Church, with Pastors Clint McMillan, Pete Strickland, Casey Ferguson and TJ Blankenship officiating. Burial is at Tuscanooga Cemetery.
