14 executive golf courses closed due to 25 inches of rain in past two months

Due to the 25 inches of rain received in the past two months in The Villages, there are 14 executive golf courses closed to aid in moving water and lowering storm water basin levels. This is part of the planned infrastructure for storm water management.

The following courses are closed until further notice:

• Hilltop

• Silver Lake

• Palmetto

• Sweetgum

• Sandhill

• Turtle Mound

• Amberwood

• Heron

• Pelican

• Chula Vista

• Mira Mesa

• Volusia – will reopen Monday, Sept. 2

• Oakleigh

• De La Vista
