Woman arrested after spotted stuffing merchandise into her bag at Wal-Mart

A woman was arrested after she was spotted stuffing merchandise into her bag at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.

Sandy Nicole Allen, 48, of Wildwood, entered the store on Tuesday carrying a black-and-white bag, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. She put $69.72 worth of merchandise into the bag and left the store without paying for the items. The theft was captured on store surveillance.

The Chicago native was arrested on a charge of theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
