Caregiver calls sheriff’s deputy for help after finding broken window at Summerfield home

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to a Summerfield home on Monday after a 70-year-old man’s live-in caregiver noticed a window had been broken at the residence.

The 39-year-old caregiver at the home, located in the 13800 block of SE 33rd Court, said a window on the back of the house was broken sometime between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday. He estimated the value of the window at $400, a sheriff’s office report says.

The caregiver said he noticed the broken window when he pulled his vehicle into the backyard. The deputy noted that the break was near the top of a window on the west side of the residence.

The sheriff’s deputy provided the caregiver with a case number and instructions for how to obtain a copy of the report. The caregiver also was asked to contact the sheriff’s office if he obtained any further information about the incident.
