To the Editor:
In a little more than a year from now, we will once again be electing a president. Here’s something to think about. Love him or hate him, President Trump is really the only viable candidate for the presidency. Virtually every Democratic candidate is espousing a totally socialist platform for their candidacy. Examples:
• All Democrats are in favor of Medicare for All. Conservatively this is a $10-13 trillion dollar program that totally eliminates private health insurance for over 180 million Americans. You can’t keep your doctor or your current health plan. The government will totally control all healthcare.
• All Democrats support the Green New Deal or some form of it. This plan will totally eliminate fossil fuels, the internal combustion engine, and put multi millions of Americans out of work, not to mention the negative impact this will have on our economy.
• All Democrats support more severe gun controls with many advocating the elimination of the Second Amendment. Keep in mind, the 2nd Amendment protects the first and is designed to protect us form our government. Without it, we are defenseless against a total governmental take over of our lives, from cradle to grave.
• All Democrats support uncontrolled immigration into our country. Without strictly enforced borders, you don’t have a country. They also support free healthcare for illegal immigrants.
There are also many other extreme positions supported by the Dems that are opposed by President Trump and the Republicans. Your choice in Novembr 2020 are vote for Trump, stay home or vote for a third party candidate, or vote for the extreme socialist platforms of the Democratic Party. The choice will be yours.
